I hate making new threads, but i have searched and can't find any info on replacing weather strips....i thought i tighten up the windows, but taken to a car shop, they said to decrease noise sound, window seals and strippings must be replaced....i understand that, but where to find some replacement or close replacement without ordering from toyota dealership costing an arm and leg? has anyone tried universals? does it fit? im talking about the weather strips inside the door, around the door, outside the door and anywhere else that has rubber weather stripping. frown.gif this is a hard topic to begin with because our cars don't have much after market parts to keep it running smoothly. if there aren't any direct replacement does anyone know of any suppliers that can make it for our cars...if so, IM IN....thanks for your time in reading this worthless thread i made...(am i the only one having this issue??) if someone has a solution, guide me.

i might be off topic, but have you tried using that frost king insulation under your door panels, and carpet? i heard that greatly decreases the sound..

EDIT: completely off topic, but give me good rep for selling you all those plastic interior pieces smile.gif and ill return the favor

I don't know about after market but the body rubber inside weather strip and inside & outside door glass strips are 176.00 per door OEM new. I just replaced my window strips on both doors. I didn't need the body weather strip, but I priced it anyway and the body weather rubber is $62.00 alone.
