Sway bars f&r or r Options

Basically ive searched through the forums and looked around. Upgrading my swaybars rears to 20mm. But not entirely sure if i should order the front(22mm) at the same time too (saving on shipping cost). As fwd cars go we need to counter the understeer with a rear swaybar. Tho there have been multiple posts here about people getting fronts before rears etc. Which i believe is the wrong way at it.

For those who could give some input that have been through a rear and then adding a front too. How did it affect your handling?
And also those who did the front and rear upgrade at the same time. How has your handling been affected?

just get the rear and get the front later down the track , I've told you it is oversteery with just the rear but with good tyres and on the road its hardly noticeable and thats with it on the hardest setting, if its too bad simply put the setting down and play with tyre pressures to counter the oversteer.

getting the front aswell will simply make it have less roll and more safe (understeer)

Strut brace has got to do with chassis flex not on body roll tho?
And thats what im saying. The whole point is to get the rear so that it counters the understeer. Which is the opposite of what you believe.

yes rico is right, getting rear creates more oversteer, you also don't need strut bars they have nothing to do with the suspension underneath, they prevent chassis flex.

well i bought a used FRONT sway bar for like 30 bucks.. i was gonna put it on just cause.


will it negatively effect handling?

depends on the size, depends if its holow, if you go much bigger than the stock rear (16mm) yes it will cause understeer.

ahh? I think you've confused yourself.

I've read a review or something about whiteline in a performance mag over here, they suggestered:

front wheel drive: get a Rear. (you dont really need a front swaybar they understeer enough)
Rear wheel drive: get a front
AWD get both (F&R)
4WD get both (F&R)

how about you save up your money and get both of them at the same time. You'll also save some money if you buy both of them at the same time and you'll notice the difference in handling by alot.

Buy something else. If you want more oversteer disconnect the rear. Just take off your sway bar links.
