After removing the bolts and nuts, the strut is too hard to go back.

I found it necessary to use a jack to compress the strut.

You just have to push down on it really hard and get one of the bolts in part of the way, then just hit it in with a hammer.
It might be easier if you unbolt the ball joint from the control arm, bolt the strut on, and then get the ball joint bolted back on. Try the top one first and definitely have someone help you |

Instead of pushing the strut up, push the control arm down. I usually have a bolt ready to slip in then I push down on the control arm with my foot.

Thanks guys. Finally I put the bolts back into position.
The trick is not trying to align both bolts at the same time. First drag strut out a little bit to put the lower bolt back, then the upper bolt. This post has been edited by dangqiwu: Jan 2, 2013 - 11:36 PM |

the bottom knuckle pivots up and down so you play with that even in and out a bit, till you get it in. you can align the hole too with a screw driver, once you get a bit in, you can also hammer.

Always had put the bottom bolt first and then just play with it a bit and the top one goes right in. -------------------- |
