You should wait until you actually get it to post a thread. Because if you don't end up getting it "....." You know? Well hope you do get it, best of luck.

Build a 5sgte for it. Thats what I did to my st165.
BUT the first thing to do is maintenance. No point into throwing money into a ca that isn't functioning perfectly. Don't expect too much from the car either because its older than your 6th gen. Till this day I still enjoy driving the 6th gen, because it handles soo much better and a lot tight because its a newer car. -------------------- 98 Celica gt red- totaled deer

I read somewhere that the ST165 handles better then the 185 and 205. Correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe that was just towards rally driving, lol.

You should really focus on scrapping off the rusts first and patching the holes that the rust has eaten through, unless your car has been garaged all its life or you bought it down south or west coast somewhere.

on worth fixing rust on these cars.. i spent a whole summer doing body work and paint on my 4th gen only for the rust to come back 2 years later .. these cars are rust buckets. you're better off looking for body panels from another 4th gen without rust and cut & weld, if you wanna fix the rust

I've been looking into getting a first gen all trac also. All of them are super over priced. |

I just wanna know if he got the car yet or not so I can prove my point why you shouldn't post a thread on getting a car until you actually got it. But as it turns out, some ST165 info is surfacing that can be useful.

Faust you posted like 3 threads about wat kinda car u wanted to get before u actually got one... Really? I thought it was a comparison on which of the 3 I should get and now I own 2 of them. I didn't say "I might get this and not get it", I simply asked which is the best way to go. And again, I have 2 now, do I not? Yes but at that point in time you had no idea if u were going to or not, this guy may buy 5 st165s.... But I inquired in such a way that even if I didn't get 1 specific one, I was getting 1 out of those 3. Plus by people adding their input regarding the 3, the thread was still useful to anyone inquiring, which is what I mentioned on here as people did post supporting information regarding the ST165 (so I did acknowledge that part). So it wasn't so much a thread based upon if I get one or not, but a thread about the differences between 3 cars, so it would still contribute to the rest of the community that may want to know. That's the difference. This post has been edited by Random_Stranger: Feb 7, 2010 - 12:01 AM -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204
