16s may look dook on a celica. Let alone you will be running big camber up front and close to 0 out back. You will need a big stretch for this as well. I hope you plan on doing that as the cars you show don't have much of one as they still have a big fender gap, which looks like ass.
You would be doing it wrong, you need camber in rear and close to none up front for the proper look. This post has been edited by Harold_Fastwaker: Mar 10, 2010 - 6:55 PM -------------------- |

i have those same ones, if you want to look at what you car will look like once they're on, just look at my profile. to be honest though, i think +15 would fit better in the front. you may have to bend your fenders a little bit.
BTW, I was running 195/50/16 on front and 205/50/16 on back, didnt need to roll fenders. |

After seeing your profile phantom yeh thats too much less offset. Tho i do rekon +15 or so would look great. Polished lip with a bronze centre or gold. But the dish is what i really enjoy.
What i rekon with phantoms pics of the 002s are that his guards arnt pulled out and it still got a fender gap. It it was siting with minimal gap and guards pulled it wouldnt be that bad. Thats just my take on it, but i rekon these rims are on the right track, but i dont want to be the first to try it lol. Eg. ![]() And with this guards pulled and rolled like str8thugginit4ya ![]() ![]() ![]() Well thats my vision of a awesome looking celica. I don know if it will work in real life tho... And i dont want to be first to try either lol This post has been edited by whatthe: Mar 11, 2010 - 1:40 AM -------------------- |

The green celica has molded fender flares in the rear. They are not just "pulled".
16s are still dook. Hell, 17s look like ass to me as well. I want 18s next, maybe 19s as they will look proper. This post has been edited by Harold_Fastwaker: Mar 13, 2010 - 12:00 AM -------------------- |

I have not updated my pics but the car is actually lowered more and there is no gap. My front fenders are rolled but I dont really like what I did to them (did it with a bat) once I fix this small issue then I'll update. But I do recomend +15 if you're trying to get a nice fit with these rims (you will need roll your fenders). As for adding fender flares I don't think it gives our cars a good look.

how about 17x8.5 +20 rota d2's? they have a pretty large lip for a celica.
they come in gold, silver, gunmetal, grey, and red. ![]() ![]() |

I approve of this thread. Keep 'em coming.
I'm looking for new rims and it just seem so hard for me to find a nice set of looking rims with decent offset. -------------------- ![]() |

The green celica has molded fender flares in the rear. They are not just "pulled". This i didnt know, no wonder it looks so fat! Well turning away this offset stylin. Friend convinced me its fad and after i saw this time attack teg. Pwoah i love time attack cars! -------------------- |

The Diamond Racing Steelies aren't too bad. I think the 15x8 is 18lbs each. My
SSR's are 16x7/ 16x8 and they weigh 15 each, so 3 more pounds (or 12 more all around) isn't bad. And low offsets aren't a "fad", if anything time attack is a fad (black wheels w/ red lip). People have been doing dished wheels for a long long time. What the "fad" is, is taking wheels that stick way out past the fender and loading up on camber to get them into the wheel wells. A proper fitting set of wheels might require a fender roll and from a performance aspect you would want a degree or so of negative camber. Make no mistake, there is nothing more attractive about a car than a proper fitting set of wheels. I mean, look at the Del Sol I posted. 9 times out of 10 I hate Del Sols, but that one looks incredible with those wheels. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

^ Time attack as in time attack cars. Like im all for a good flush set of rims, but not enough to buy a set of spacers....
Flush is good, but hellaflush is more a fad. Hope theres no hate on my post. This post has been edited by whatthe: Mar 17, 2010 - 5:24 PM -------------------- |

I've always disliked hellaflush-type setups because retarded camber looks like ass to me. I'll take a perfectly flush, 0 camber set of wheels over that sh!t any day.
