I picked this up last year from an Alltrac member as a rolling chassis. Right after the car was delivered to me from Colorado, I started to get to work on her right away. The odometer reads 14x,xxx Something, will look later, but the motor has about 1,000 miles on the 5sgte. When I got the car running, I was pretty bumbed out, because there are a lot of maintenance issues. Just replaced the wheel bearings and hubs. I have a bunch of spare parts as well. Surprisingly the car isn't a rust bucket. I mean there are rust bubbles on the passenger rear quarter and on the sunroof, but other than that its not bad. Under the chassis looks like the PO coated it with undercoat. Mechanically the car is sound. There are some flaws on the exterior, but once you get the chance to drive this car you will instantly fall in love with it!
I guess I'll just post pics now and if you guys have any questions feel free to PM me. I'm wanting to trade for a decent 6 gen GT hatch, 5 speed. And because I am living on my own and going to school, I can no longer afford to make this thing into my dream car. I need something that is reliable, and something that is not going to be continuously worked on and not a garage queen. I have a 96 ST Coupe. 5speed. The engine is in great condition. Just had the water pump and timing belt replaced. It only has like 85k on it.
I know you said you wanted a GT hatch, but I'm just throwing it out there. |

You probably want to get rid of this quick huh? Dang, I sure wish I had one of these... I just couldn't part with my Celica, but I would buy one just to trade you. What exactly are you looking for? Bone stock GT hatch? Or you want some mods to it? Because if you still happen to have this (doubt it), come Summer... I might get my hands on a 6th gen just to trade you.

Come summer, it'll have a FIA spec roll cage, Poly bushings, and one piece racing seats. Some what in a hurry, because I need to stop spending money.

Not yet. Because I messed up on making the key for the honda distributor. I need to fab up a new one. It really isn't that hard, but with someone describing on what to do online makes it kind of tough.

It is nice that you live in the midwest. Whats wrong with the car? Well if you put money on top of the car I think it would be fair.

I wouldn't want the 18" rims though... You think about it. I'm not worried about the project car. Send me some current pics via PM.

How much money have you honestly invested in it? (And you can PM me if you want)... I didn't realize you live so far away, because seriously... I am considering it (with a lil compensation if my value overshadows yours, as I do have all my receipts), or a 5th gen all-trac if I can find one.... Seriously thinking about trading though for an all-trac.

A little under $4500 on the motor alone.
I had to source out the driveshaft and missing trims out the exterior. Bought the car as a rolling chassis, messed up chassis harness and dash. Replaced what ever I could inside the car with a junked 89 celica GT. I would say a little under $6,000 into the car. Of course the cost of maintenance parts are included in what I put into the car. I really don't want a modded Celica. I want to start fresh. -------------------- 98 Celica gt red- totaled deer

BUMP!!! Running amazingly strong. Just wished fuel cut was at 17 psi instead. Tried the honda ecu this weekend ran into a snag. Its either the ecu or the distributor wiring. The car amazing started up with the stock honda map but once I tried with the jumper in place and the turbo base map in place it won't fire. Could be an issue with the modded chip. Other than that the stock toyota stuff runs great.
