Hey!

I got some strip LEDs that I am trying to wire, and my car does not have Step/Courtesy light originally. So, what to do? Where to get power from, which is only ON when the door is open?

you will need to use your door trigger so that it turns on when your door is opened. It is a RED/WHITE (-) wire in the drivers side kickpanel. Now your door trigger is a negative wire not a positive so you will need to run your led strip with hot power and use the door trigger as the ground

If it were me I would install your LED strips then run both wires through the grommet into the kickpanel, where you would tie the - wire into your door trigger wire and run the positive all the way to the back of your cigar power...or even better use a fuse tap and run the positive right off either the fused side of your dome light fuse or the hot side of any hot fuse (making sure to put an inline fuse on your wire if going this route, I would go with the dome light fuse then it is all part of the same circuit)

LED's draw so little current that you shouldn't have any problems with fuse ratings. Now your led strip should light up whenever the door is opened just like a courtesy light would
