I just got my GT4 front bumper installed. The bumper came with the fog lights. I want to know if I can just tap my fog lights into the parking lights on the bumper? I noticed there are three wires there. Obviously for the blinker and the steady parking light. Can this be done? Would there be any problems doing this?

thanks for any advice.

Yes, you can, but whenever your parking lights are on, your fogs would be too.

When I get mine I'm going to wire it to the stereo, so that whenever the stereo is on, the fogs are also on, and wire an on/off switch too, ofcourse.

Do you know what color wire should go to the parking light from the fog light. The fog lights have the two wires and the lights on the bumper have 3 wires. Which wire color on the bumper light do I tap into?

i wouldn't do it because the H3 fog bulbs take 55watts, so you'll be drawing that much extra from the parking lights on a wire not meant to draw that much current. Its like a high wattage bulb on your low beams, same concept. its not meant to draw that much current. youll end up with electrical problems in the future as it starts to melt and burn the wiring.

^^^^ Arrrg yeah extremely good point...I just don't know how to wire up a fog light switch with a relay. I guess I'm going to have to leave the fog lights disconnected for now. Thanks guys.

Just use a relay to trigger off the parking lights. its actually pretty easy to do.

yeah thats what i did, the car should already be wired for lights, most gt's had fogs, just wire them to that if you have them, if not go to autozone and buy a wire kit

Thats true 96-99 GT's have the harness for the fogs BUT...the 94-95 doesn't you will have to custom make your own harness/kit or buy a fog light harness kit at your local auto stores which comes with wires, relay and a switch and they also come with an instructions manual too they even have wireless fog light kits if u don't want to drill through your firewall.

all you gotta do is follow malpaso's sticky for fog light install. You can skip the relay part and it will allow you to turn on your fogs anytime you want even with the car off or with the headlights off. Downside is you just gotta remember to turn it off. That is how I ran mine.
