hey,
ikesound has a legacy 1000 watt amp on ebay....is it any good?? what are the specs on it?? s/n ratio?? etc.... it seems awfully cheap and i thought that if i power 2 12's without cranking the amp too hard...i should be able to keep distortion down. is this worth it?? or am i gonna regret it big! i am looking more for a clean sound than sheer pounding.

Honeslty I'd skip it. Legacy is made by Pyramid. Here's the funny part the amp is rated at
75 watts RMS x 2 (4 ohm load)
125 watts RMS x 2 (2 ohm load)
500 watts x 2 max output
1,000 watts x 1 max output (bridge mode)

The 75x2 is possible as it the 125x2 in 2ohm. But the rest of it... now way in hell. Well maybe for a fraction of a second before it goes nuclear and burns up.

My roomate blew up his Legacy amp, but he got it so cheap that he just went and bought another just like it, that one hasn't blown up yet.
Anyways, go check out http://www.ikesound.com/ and you can look at the specs on a lot of different brands. They seem to have really cheap prices too on a lot of stuff

im am wanting to power two xplod 12's i figured a 200-250 x2 rms range would be good enough for me so what amps would you recommend. i am looking to go as cheap as possible while still getting something decent....looks really dont matter too much either.

I dont kno how good it is to bridge 2 subs, and if u bridge them you get less sound quality.
