Just filled my tank and a few hours later, my driveway is covered with gas. Gas tanks are dealer items only. Looking at over $1100 in parts plust another 300+ for labour. Looks like I'll be parting out my baby and leaving the celica world.

Never came across one for parts or in the scrap yard. I don't have the time and energy to look for a used gas tank. And if I get a used one and that leaks, i might just go postal. |

This is the perfect opportunity for you... why don't you have a custom gas tank welded together for you??? you could put all the fancy race bits (petrol cooler, fuel pump, surge tank, alcohol-proof lines, etc)

2 words. fuel cell.
they're relatively cheap and you can typically fit all your stock components in them... perfect opportunity for some custom work and to lighten the car. -------------------- proud =3sgte SWAPPED= '95 Celica ST owner [calling it the GT2 or half-trac]
