Hey guys, finally got myself back into the celica game after a few years out and bought myself a st205 WRC smile.gif

I'll get pics up soon, can't do it on my phone.

However having a tiny teething trouble that someone may be able to help me with. When I got home With the car after buying it I went to put new mats in and realised thedrivers footwell and the rear passengers footwell, again on the drivers side was literally soaking.

Few days later I jet washed the car and the day after it was noticeably more wet. So it's obviously got a leak somewhere.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help

if you have a sunroof you need to check the drains. They are in the Apillar and the C pillars (you'll have to start removing some of your interior for this) and make sure the tubes are clear.

Hey guys, bit of an update on this one, found the main source of the leak in to the rear drivers side footwell, small bit of welding and undercoat and thats sorted, dry as a bone now.

However the drivers footwell is still pretty sodden ive found out today, havnt noticed as it hasnt been raining and ive had mats over it...

I believe there is some sort of rubber grommet or bung in the offside wheel arch, could this have come loose causing water to seep in?

the grommets are for draining water out...usually at the lowest point so water seeping in there should not happen unless you are submerged

Check the front vents where the a/c heater feed is in the cowl (light where the wipers are). The corners in MR2's tend to rot out and then leak into the footwells.
