So I figured I would post up a progress thread of the work I have done/will be doing. But to start this thread off right I need to give some background to me and my celica.
So in August 2006 my parents bought me my 1999 toyota celica, I was 17 and in love with the car. In March 2007 I was clipped by another vehicle and tore off my whole front end (Sorry can no long find the photo frown.gif ), fortunately I had it repaired for the price of $10,573(almost $2000 more then what was paid for), $8000 of it was covered by insurance and I was stuck with the rest. I didn't get her back until July 2007 due to hard to find part because the car was brought to the United States from Canada. All was great loved the car had a blast with it, best time of my life. So I went off to University of Northwestern Ohio for their Automotive High performance program in Lima, Ohio (Lost In The Middle of America laugh.gif )and my first day there my clutch went out mad.gif. Now being out on my own for the first time and having to live with 5 other people who always drank... well lets just say I never had time to work on it. So after 3 semesters at 30,000 a pop I returned to Ft. Mitchell, KY(5min south of Cincinnati) to go to a community collage for Automotive Tech. in hopes to return to UNOH after obtaining my Associates in Auto. Tech. So life was grand until, some @$$ pulled my drain plug and drained all my oil and I had no clue until I was doing about 70 down the interstate and my car spun a bearing mad.gif . When I got her home I started to rip her apart and rebuild her (once again no pictures). After rebuilding the celi. all was kosher until it started to tap... quite badly. Now here we are today fixing what can only be described as love/hate relationship. But enough BSing TIME FOR PICTURES!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
Please enjoy!!! smile.gif

These are a couple months after I bought the car.

My first mod. of corse MORE FOG LIGHTS!!!

A Not so good mod....

(FYI that intake was made from 2 intake hoses lol)

Then the interior
Painted trim/lights

First was rear speakers then seats

Seats

Then for the first engine rebuild/NEW manifold

Finished

Next on the list was suspension
Just out of box

Installed on front

All around

My first photo shot (over 300 pic.'s taken)

A couple things added under the hood/Updated fogs

ES300 Fogs

And now for the second engine rebuild and the whole point of this post!!!

Lets start off with a list of all ne gadgets I got.
Drilled and slotted rotors
Ross Pistons/rods
Full cat. back exhaust/down pipe
Ported head

Now for some pic.s

So the first thing I have been working on was Gasket matching my head and manifold (haven't done the manifolds yet). I used a dremel and corse sand heads to port the head.
Exhaust

Intake

Then I moved on to the calipers.
The bracket

Cleaned up

The calipers
the one on the left is in the process of sanding and the one on the right is strait off the car

and how they both are now

The exhaust I bought for the car (bought a tip that is identical to the stock 1)

I am cataloging everything so I will have more pic.s to post.

Ya I know even I see it, but I made sure to fix that and made it into a respectable clean car. Obviously I didn't have enough... Oh well. The seats i had before I owned the car, I originally had them in my VR4.

So today I ordered a Toyota break caliper rebuild kit for cheap!!! Also bought one for the mr2 because the rear caliper is locking and causing the driver side rear to wear fast.
They have lots of other genuine toyota parts for cheap.
Heres the site Toyota Parts Center

It's cool to see how your taste has refined over the last 4 years as you've matured. I always remember seeing pictures of your car and it looking pretty good, I was very surprised to see those early pictures! But then again you were only 17; at your age, there's (should be at least!) a pretty big difference between 17 and 20/21. Hah... wait 'till you're my age!

Nice progress pix, keep 'em coming!

You don't lose your ebrake w/the rear disc conversion. Anyway, that's (partly) what parking in 1st is for!
