Hi all,
I have joined due to the amount of useful info I have found on here and also because my friend races a Jap imports ST202 GT-S for the last 2 years and is now on his 3rd season which started Last week end. The main reason I'm here is to pick your brains and read up on as much has I can and see where we can develop the car by trusted and performed upgrades. The main problem is we are based in the UK and the engine specs seem to be different i.e. we have 2.0 and you guys have 2.2's. the car has to remain 2.0 to stay in his class and as so the engine has only seen a intake and exhaust job so fare but has been performing great getting a 3rd in the first year and first last year but completion is getting stronger and the car been gutted out down to the basics now. Suspension is well sorted and the brake upgrade works well using the stock callipers but larger discs and upgraded brakes so it's the engine we are looking at and the weakest point the gear box which seems to be the first big issue. Anyways enough of me going on about the car here are some pictures of it from last year, the cars had a new paint job for this year and I will post up on Tuesday after the holidays. The reason I'm posting this up is because he crap with computers and I’m quite good with the internet thing plus I'm on a few Audi forums as this is where my roots lye. P.S. Already been reading about the headers and I cant imagine how they make any money selling them so cheap. This post has been edited by docurley: Apr 1, 2010 - 11:26 AM |

QUOTE (14:19:21) Daniel: That was a JDM hole in the side of the box too. There was so much JDM trapped inside that box that they couldn't contain it, so they had to put a JDM hole in the box to let the JDM out. QUOTE Ferdi says (11:29) No, it looks like a hooker put her acid vag on your hood. Acid vag = bigger problem than a few dings. |

They used to circle track race them here in the states in the goody's dash series. I actually work with one of the guys that was in on that but I have yet to ask for questions or parts but yes the might 6th gen was on the banking at Daytona.

Awesome!
The thing with the 3S-GE is that it was made and tuned pretty damn well at the factory, and there is not a lot you can do without spending big money.... Assuming you have a de-cat, and stripped everything out that you can, i guess the next step is to start porting and polishing, maybe look at cams, lightened flywheel. There's an ECU chip by Superchips that can squeeze a few ponies by advancing timing etc.... I've heard there is not a great deal to be gained with this engine when it comes to headers.... I reckon the money is best spent making the thing lighter.... lightweight seat, plexiglass, carbon hatch, doors.... that's my opinion anyway. where is it that you race? -------------------- |
