Its not as efficient as a v6 tho. I think the new "Supra" will be a bust Toyota doesn't have the budget to make it, they cant even release the FT-86 because of budget issues. I honestly just conceder the LFA as the new Supra

It'll never happen, unfortunately.

until the market picks back up there is little point or if they do it will be limited number (like GTR), Toyota have to worry about their reputation at the moment as well with all the brake/accelerator recall things will people risk buying one? i would if i had the money, but others would panic

Isn't the point of a Supra to put your foot down and never let up? laugh.gif

I agree.... No Straight 6 = No Supra IMO The body style just takes away from the name alone. And a Hybrid? How about something you HAVE to fill with race fuel? :-P

I dont like it, too spaceship like. Even if they release that car im willing to bet that it cost just as much as those new super expensive Lexus cars cost i forget the name, but im pretty sure most of you know which one im talking about. Its on a Lexus commercial too.

With like 5x the price tag and the ability to beat a GT-R in a straight line, maybe?

if its not a I6 then its not a Supra, and all Supras came with an I6 not just the 2J and 1J. the 5M 6M 7M were all I6. And how is a V6 more efficient than an I6?

V formation engines dont require as much force to rotate because of a less gravitational angle.

i'm not holding my breath on this one. toyota keeps promising a brand new sports car but never come through. sure there's the LFA but i dont have $250,000 to lease one. i'll just be glad if they make another celica or mr2.
