u will hardly see it if ur keeping the top mount (which i assume u are) y not go wild an paint the top mount to match the car? ... or not yea...um...i dont think so, migga i will be keeping the top mount, black. i had the valve cover powdercoated black as well, but i wasnt happy with how it came out, so i just decided to paint it instead. with the proximity of the corner of the valve cover that is seen to the passanger side strut tower (im painting the engine bay body color) , i figured it would go well, especially finished off with a nice chrome TRD oil cap. installed the intake manifold when i got home from work, moving along at a snails pace kinda sucks, but between work, and randi, and all the other crap that comes along, i dont get as much time to work in the garage as i really need to get more than one or two things done a day. im hoping to have the motor 99% finished this weekend, that way next weekend, i can pull jenns car in the garage, and get the 5s out so i can have a solid week to prep the engine bay, and install the 3s the following weekend. hopfully all goes as planned. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

manny - you don't mind it being slightless hp than your 5s with all that work? Very nice attention to detail!! i'll definetly be making more power with the gen 3 than i do with the 5s. the # in my sig is @ 19.5 lbs of boost, on a 50/50 mix of race gas and pump fuel, + water/meth (WW fluid) injection both dustin and jim made ~25whp more than that(~330whp), at about the same boost level, on pump fuel. i also have the adjustable cam gears to play with as well, that should be able to gain me a few more whp and fatten up the powerband a bit. thanks! -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

that looks super clean. I like how subtle the painted valve cover looks poking out from behind the top mount

O ok i thought you were just going to drop it in and be done with it. BTW, when you painted the alternator no masking right? -------------------- 94 Celica GT

yea, i just masked the plugs, sticker, and pulley.
today i finished taping up the harness, and also refurbished the coil, ignitor and bracket, as well as the resistor packs and brackets. pics of that stuff tommorow. if all goes as planned, we'll finally pull jenns car into the garage next saturday, and pull the motor on sunday. that will give me all of the following week to clean up the bay, and prep it for the 3s, which we will install the following weekend.
