Someone other there said it is only 130bhp is he having me on?

2. What does GT stand for? and what does it do?

the NA gt only has 130 - 135 hp depending on the year

the gt four has over 200hp.... so if it is a gt with 174 it is probably after market turbo..... but it wouldnt be a 2.0L

gt stands for grand touring.... flame me if im wrong and it has the bigger engine which is a 2.2L

the UK 2.0L GT is the 3sge motor, you lucky sir have a 174 HP bhp motor, happy driving. the GT referred to as having 130BHP, is a USDM GT, with a puny 130HP 2.2L motor (5sfe). there is a stock 2.0L turboed 3sgTe, that is only available in celica GT-4. now check under the hood and see if it says "BEAMS" on the intake manifold bowdown.gif then you would be a real happy camper.

He's in the UK though. The GT over there has the 3SGE, not the 5SFE that we have in North America. I don't know the exact specs for that motor, but it is around 170-190 bhp.

Guys guys guys.... In UK there are 2 GT's as i know... One model is with 3S-GE and other is with 3S-FE. The first one has 175 hp and the second has 135 hp... So the best way to know what you have in your stable, is to look at the engine code (is it 3s-FE, 3s-GE or 7a-FE)...

And about 2.0l Turbo... It the famost 3S-GTE, if it is 3 gen it has 245 hp in europe...

thanks for your help

So GT means grand touring thanks.

Some lad at a cruise I went to had the best car there and it was a celica.

It had leather cobra seats, biggest bottle of nos i've ever seen, F1 boonet, shogun bodykit, silver tints, custom plate, neons, big alloys and that just the start.

If I see it again i'll post some pics.
