7a to 5s is a pointless swap. Lots of work involved for very little extra power. Basically you need Celica GT motor mounts, which require you to drill the frame rail in the engine bay. Then you need to splice the 5S harness into the 7A harness to make everything work, which will be tough, as the 7a to 5s isn't something that is documented on here.
If I were to help you, I would tell you to save the headaches and buy a 7a out of another Celica or Corolla and plug it in. Done. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

It seems like you're going with the 5S because it's what you have on hand. Contact Dr_Tweak, he's in Savannah (and a member on here), he can help you with the wiring and make it a plug and play deal for you. Since you already had the 5S on hand, it's the biggest expense you'll go to is the wiring harness.
You can find him here in the members' section or you can contact him directly through his site, http://www.phoenixtuning.com. He's HIGHLY reputable and is probably one of the best people to go to for this. This post has been edited by GriffGirl: Apr 9, 2010 - 7:41 PM -------------------- |
