Gerald, out of curiosity, where was the needle when the tank was truly empty? the needle was pointed in the middle of the letter E on the fuel gauge. i posted this same question in a thread a while back and i remember some guy posting that his needle went all the way below the letter E. Not filling your tank all the way and just doing "$5.00 fill ups" etc. can cause your gauge to read improperly. I bet the person who said that does 5 dollar fill ups all the time. Do you run your tank almost empty then fill it full every time? That's what it sounds like. That's the most ideal way to do it, after all the gas gauge should be accurate..haha. I hate my gas gauge. I run it till it's almost dry and fill it all the way up, but my E light comes on way, way too early. We have a 15.9 gallon tank and if I fill her up right when the E light comes on, she'll only take about 12.3 gallons. Same for me, takes 12.5 ish when the light comes on, guess its an early warning. I get worried before it hits the last line, where it only takes 13 gallons. -------------------- ◊◊◊ My F/S Thread! ◊◊◊

Yeah, 'tis weird indeed. The lowest I've gone is slightly under the line... I ran my tank dry one day, just to see the kind of mileage I could get out of a full tank. 732 KMs on one tank... thats pretty good. (around 455 miles) -------------------- |

I took pressure2's advice and fixed my Code 54... YAY!!
Apparently my car has been running in safe mode for about 6 months,, I always found it strange only hitting 1/2 full of the stock boost gauge at WOT. Holy crap does the car feel completely different now. I think I may have to keep the thing... -------------------- current project: looking :(

I just bought the fronts about 9,000 miles ago and now this happens!! koni yellows here I come??? I'm sure thinking about it now. ugghhh

Question about nsxtypeR's new Celica!
First of all, you have a very nice Celica . 2ndly, I noticed your car does not have tweeters. I was under the impression that all the premium sound system Celicas had 8 speakers (2 rears, 2 front woofers, 2 front mids, and 2 front tweeters). Is there a special edition Celica model that came with the extra door speaker, but not the tweeters? Or were the tweeters removed later on for some reason? And.. Today I... changed my fuel pump. -------------------- |

Thx guys!
About the premium speaker system: I bought the door panels from AMCMOE. It had the standard sound system in it, but i'll upgrade it to premium. Tweeter covers weren't mounted yet when i shot the photos. -------------------- JDM ST205

made progress on my Beams swapped celica. Masked man came over and helped me make take out the pioneer head unit with ipod usb connection from my st and swapped it into my 99 GT. I also lost about 1 pound 8 oz of weight due to the fact that I took out the stock 99 gt celica amp. Also removed the beams stock header as I will be having it painted. Oo taking out the stock amp was a biatch and the only reason I did so was so is because my cousins 95 gt celica will be receiving my stock 99 gt radio and it needs the stock amp in order for it to function.
