Yesterday I installed a new cv axle on the passenger side. If your car suddenly starts shaking extremely violently when you're going 75 mph, it could be that your axle is toast. I've never seen a rubber axle boot explode because something inside of it tried to leave... That mixed with a high speed = axle grease everywhere. Not a fun day off!

Found the 8" stock drivers up front have no surrounds.
Ordered two https://www.madisound.com/store/product_inf...products_id=849 Hopefully they fit. Also ordered some Boston Acoustics S65s for the rears. |

Today I realized Toyota gave me 2 front brake pad kits and rear pads off an '02 Camry. I ordered them months ago and finally decided it was time to change them. So I pull the boxes out off storage. I always knew one was wrong cause it said Camry on it but it had my name on it and i was only charged for 2 kits so I knew it was a wrong one but I never bothered to check the other two cause how hard is it to order 1 front kit and 1 back kit. Well apparently I was wrong. Now I have to go order a back brake pad kit.
Edit: I'm starting to think they gave me Camry ones for my rear pads and accidentally gave me 2 front pad kits. This post has been edited by travisxcore: Jul 5, 2011 - 4:29 PM |

Figured out that my oil light was coming on because the wire had gotten caught between the alt and its pulley, and at higher rpms it went away because it was spinning to fast to make contact. Discovered when changing my oil to 5-30 synthetic with a pure one filter(only the best).

Will do. I cancelled my order with madisound and instead purchased them through solen.ca But I'll probably do a little writeup once it's all done. Took pictures of the driver, enclosure and measured it all. Hopefully other people will find it useful too.

Got rear ended, passenger side is tweaked a little. Other driver's car is totaled while mine has that and a bit of damage to the rear quarter. Needs new bumper and muffler. Other than that perfectly fine, will either be parting out or selling as a whole.
Oh and he didn't have insurance! AWESOME!! But I talked to him and he is possibly giving me money, so win win. I will definetly parting it out or selling as a whole for those of you who care. |

I would buy a hatch off you but you have a coupe haha.
Changed my plugs and wires. Got NGK Iridium and some BSR? wires. Runs so much smoother. First time my car has ever had its wires changed. Need to change out the distributor some time soon too. |

When I went to change my spark plugs today, I used the same t-handle plug wrench I used last time, only this time, the small, rubber gasket inside the socket to pull the plug up got stuck on the plug, so I tried to just get the plug out and take the gasket off once it was off. Well.... nope. The t-handle just snapped. Last time I "splurge" and buy a $4 tool. So the gasket was still stuck, went to Pep Boys, got a spark plug socket, an 8" extension, and a long, pick tool, kind of like a dental instrument, to get the gasket out. All in all, what should've been a 6 minute job turned into a 90 minute job. Horray...

Actually on Monday, I finally took all the pieces out of my dash (I think I missed 3 tho) and painted them white. Really brings the whole black & white theme inside.
Then today I took her to Crescent City on the 199 after not driving her for 3 days. She forgave me. This post has been edited by missbakken: Jul 8, 2011 - 1:09 AM |

Weird, but AWESOME!!! Granted, it's a bit overkill for a non-gt4 with no engine performance parts. Still worth some $$ though with that company tuning it. Today(actually past few days) i......finished install the new clutch, inserted poly inserts into the motor mounts......did S000 antenna conversion, removed my 3 post spoiler and installed 2 post spoiler with Chris C riser blocks....and last but not least, installed 7th gen short shifter(much better feel with metal bushings over OEM rubber ones!!) |
