Noise came back...sounded like front bearing...

To my surprise, the axle nut was lose again.

Cleaned the area of all "powdered" rust, greased, and locktited. Was being lazy and didn't want to get the book to find the correct torque, but its well above 150 that my torque wrench can read up too. Ole breakbar/metal pole.

Took a drive, and its gone...for now.

dropped the car off at maaco!! YEA i know i know. Then took all the parking lights off, the side marker lights off, the rear lights off, told them to fix every freaking dent there is, and to shave off my spoiler. Plan being that when i get it back i will complain if it doesnt look acceptable and tell them i want it repainted.

^ Nice. I'm surprised you're still moving forward with it after all these years.

Yesterday, did a wash and wax.

Today my radiator cracked its upper tank. Unfourtunately the PO installed it so I dont have the warranty info. I parked the car and was foolin with something else in the drivway when suddenly my celica makes a hiss noise and steam POURED out of every seam on the front end of the car.

Know how you feel. My radiator has a crack across the top of it, happened while was doing something with the car while it was running. Anywho, next thing I know I'm being sprayed with hot coolant.. Going to try and fiberglass it, since I'm too cheap and lazy to install a radiator. tongue.gif

Marked out making a cold air/short ram intake. Since the options for our cars are either expensive or the design sucks. Thankfully the intake setup on our cars is super basic, unlike some other cars. I love MAP sensors. tongue.gif

On Wednesday, I took my car to the body shop for body work and painting. Today I went to see the progress and it has been sanded out for the majority of the body, it has been disassembled for the most part and the front bumper was being worked on. I was told the quarte panel windows will come off tomorrow and the bumper will have to be plastic welded for it has a tear at the bottom, where it bolts to the plastic covers. I didn't know plastic could be welded in its own special way.

Not quite yet. smile.gif I will say that it will cost another ~$300 or so to pick up most of what I purchased. I finally picked up some Twos R Us front sway end links, but that's about all I can divulge for now.

The red Celica is yours now? I'm jelly of all of your Celicas. So much do that it looks like I've copied your blue Celica in several ways.... There might be a new sig in my future next week.

I guess I'm an in-betweener. I'm not quite Southern but I'm not quite Northern either. It makes for an interesting twang.
