DAMN! I did an estimate on how much money I spent on upgrades for my car the past year since I've had it and it came out to be $3,775! Didn't even think I was close to 3k......man. That's hell lot of money. But like what they say. Go big or go home. Haha.

Today I updated my Signature Picture.

The picture would be improved if the face of the front wheels were toward the camera.

I haven't had an alignment done in over 4 years (its pbly been way longer then that but I've had it for 4). Still drives straight as ever. Could be tightened up a bit though, some of the dirt roads here like to take it any way they feel if you're not holding it good enough)

Its came to my attention that its bout time for a new timing belt. Its been well over 100k miles and more then 7 years. Haha. Might change the oil pump also, it tends to take a second to get the pressure up to par when cranking.

Replaced the passenger door panel, with one from the old ST. Bye bye faded junk

Fixed some rattling in the drivers side door.

RainX all outside windows, and FogX all the internal. Something about mornings here and dew...can't see, problem solved.

Installed a tweeter cover with no tweeter..can't find it =/

Sanded, bondo'd, sanded, cleaned, sanded, sanded, cleaned...The GT4 hood. Waiting for the sun to not be direct in my paint spot so I can finish this task...

Last night, one of my coolant lines blew.
Today I fixed that coolant line. It was the one from the waterneck to the TB. Luckily I had that line on one of the extra TB's in my shed. All fixed nowww

Today I discovered how much of a PITA it is to get a clutch alignment tool for a '98 Celica. Seriously, went to 5 different auto parts stores, where they were all convinced that the S54 is 21 spline and some wouldn't even sell the tool without the whole clutch. Came home, got online, same issue... Changed my Google search from a '98 Celica to '99 and found half a million of them. Turns out some people think it's perfectly acceptable to charge $53 for the exact same piece that is normally under $4. That's what I get for loosing my other alignment tool...

Today my buddy and I started tearing into the standard 1997 Camry he bought on Saturday. The body is a POS because it's rusted and has some rot, but the engine and transmission are still amazing at 254,000 miles! Toyota FTW. laugh.gif

We're swapping his 1996 Camry to standard since they never made the V6 model in standard wink.gif

Not in the 1992-1996 V6's. I've researched it, my buddy has researched it, and KBB doesn't give you a option for a manual under the 1996 4 door XLE model

http://www.consumerguide.com/toyota/camry/...992-1996/specs/

Perhaps the later model v6 didnt have a 5 spd but the earlier models definately did
They switched v6 engines in 94 i believe so your originsl statement was right i believe
Apologies

Yeah, 1994 went to the 1MZ-FE.

Yesterday I helped my brother with unplugging his catalytic converter, so that was fun. Before I get some eco-ranger yelling at me we did indeed clean it, not hollow it out. So thank me for saving the environment in more ways than one. tongue.gif

OK 92-93 Camry came with a 3vz backed by a auto trans or e153
94+ came with the 1mz an only had a auto trans
The 1mz was only back by a 5 speed in 2 cars the Solara (know that isn't spelled right) an I'm drawing a blank on the other
If your buddy wants to keep his v6 running right when your done he might have to get a 97 v6 ecu an Maf sensor. The 96 computer will throw codes for the trans witch might cause him some problems (been there done that lol)
