Looking good. Thanks! Want to bust out the buffer sometime next week to get it extra nice Definitely! I need to get a buffer myself as these human-powered waxes are tiring and time consuming. -------------------- Has no more Celicas

So about a week ago, I...
A short time after that... Until she was roadworthy again, on the 18th. Bonus picture, a game from my youth. I'd like to thank everyone who made a contribution, whether in parts, assistance, advice, knowledge and guidance along the way. A lot of parts came from members here near and far. Put on the cams, and the VVTi oil galley (with cleaned filter of course!), and the gears. Just need to bolt up the new water pump and it's good to time tomorrow, possibly mate it to the transmission, and get my Celica up on stands!

Master cylinder is supposed to be today. I'm tired of driving my grandfather's Lexus ES300.

Timed the BEAMS. Put most everything back together. Tomorrow: Hook it up to the wire harness and transmission. Remove 5S-FE. Insert 3S-GE BEAMS.
(OK, a little ambitious, but it should be moving by Sunday I hope). -------------------- 2019 M2, 2005 S2000, 1997 4Runne

Well, I have been back and forth to the Hospital all week and my car has started spluttering again (I think this is because dad bought E10 the other day, when I run on 95 or 98 she doesn't have any troubles)
I also think that she is running a little rich, as after a 20min drive the other day when I turned the car off there was a petrol smell from the exhaust... And she is chewing through the petrol atm as well... Any other ideas what this may be? Just about any older car runs rich, Hell it seems new cars do as well after some thirty thousand miles. Could be leaking injectors, or FPR over-pressurizing the system. On some cars a faulty coolant temp sensor can cause problems, rather or not that's the case with our cars I don't know. Ehh air intake temp sensor sending false readings, but that'd throw a code if it were bad. Generally so would the coolant temp sensor. Try resetting the ECU first per the instructions here: http://www.6gc.net/howto/reset_your_air_fuel_ratio

I'd say its an O2 or IAT sensor on the way out. They can be slightly defective without throwing a check engin light.

If it were giving a code your check engine light would be on.
