Yep, it's very common. Use the plastic washer that came on the bulbs, cut a notch in it, the install it in the housing with the bulb. Check the "HID's in Projectors" sticky for pics.

I thought it was maybe where I was driving, so I decided to turn my lights on an off while I drove last night, and sure enough when I turned the HIDs off... perfect reception and as soon as they were back on, interference.... Could this just be because HIDs are emitting electrons? (This too is not a massive problem as I mainly listen to Bluetooth music from my phone anyway )

That's strange, are you sure you did everything right? I'm assuming one of the ballasts in near the fuse/relay box? If so try relocating the ballast and see if it still happens. It shouldn't be interfering with anything, I'd be afraid it could interfere with something more serious in the future. Try sending a message to whoever you bought them from, could be a defective ballast.

My friend has hids in his 150 and whenever the fogs are on it causes static in the radio. Do you have the slim ballasts or regular ones?
