^Dead link.

So, apparently there was a Y87 package for V6 F-bodies that give it the V8 model's LSD, brakes, steering box, and dual exhaust. 200hp and 225 ft lb is fun enough in a 3,300 pound car I suppose. Meh, either that or the Z31.

Well that's ironic, funny what you can find on the internet. Certain people 5 years ago badmouthing the Celica and now they have done engine swaps etc.. laugh.gif

Tried driving around with tires at 30 psi today, not really any softer of a ride so they'll be going back up to 40 psi. If anything I think the sidewall flex may have made it worse.

They should be at the recommendation. 40 is too high.

no. unless its leaded
if its leaded it'll destroy your CAT.

but why waste the money on 100 octane when it won't do anything for you. Trust me....been there done that....useless

29 on the door card, 30 is way too low though. The tires' max rating is at 55 psi, they're just flat at 30. I can push in on the sidewall with my hands and flex it in and out at 30. At 40 psi that still leaves over 35% of capacity for expansion, it'll be fine.

I should add mine are the 14's, so I have a lot more sidewall than everyone else. If they were 15's maybe 30 psi would be be ok, 16's 30 psi would be about ideal.

Indeed, all it means is that higher the octane rating the more compression it can withstand before detonating. If your car doesn't pre-detonate on regular fuel, there's no point in paying more for premium etc... The exception being cars that have knock sensors and call for premium, as they'll just retard the timing for regular fuel. Then there will be a loss of power and economy, and more often than not you save money just by running the premium that's called for.

door card is a bit generic....all tires have the PSI max and/or range printed on the sidewall..
I'd look there to ensure per your tire manufacture that you're in range. I normally fill 10-5psi shy of max depending on conditions.

Everywhere you go says to go by the door card, but you can't tell me 30 psi on a 55 psi max tire is right either. Mine only have the max rating on them, doesn't give a range. 40 seemed like a happy medium between comfort and handling. I just know 30 is too low, car felt mushy and any ride softness gained isn't worth it.

My uncle lives on a large property. Slapped the mudders on this beast and yutzed it up after a day of drinking, wrenching, and bull****ting.

I run mine at 34-5 PSI all around...

When I took the car in for wheel balance and alignment they over filled it to 50PSI....
I noticed as soon as I started driving and realised the ride had gone to s**t... got home and check and was astounded that they didn't even read the door or the tyre specs >.< Since, they are a tyre shop...

Why you do everything yourself, only way to know for sure it was done right. That or if you happen to know personally the one doing the work, and can trust them then that's ok I suppose.

AHA I KNEW IT!!!!!!!! Yay almost driving.
