Is the fuel gauge still functioning properly?

Fuel Needle is functioning 100% fine... The Fuel light is still illuminated though...

The ECU has absolutely no effect on the fuel gauge. You'll need to remove your fuel pump (easily done) and check the float out to make sure it isn't sticking and inspect the wiring to make sure it isn't cracked or broken anywhere.

But if the float is stuck, wouldn't the fuel gauge also be stuck?

Theoretically, yes. That's why I'm thinking it may be a wiring issue. Might even be an issue inside the gauge cluster. It's probably illegal to have a full tank of fuel and have the low fuel light on simultaneously in Australia. laugh.gif

I will try taking the bulb out and resitting it... I haven't messed with any of the wires that connect to fuel related things... So I am lost to how this happened...
It's probably illegal here for me to be talking about my car on the internet anyway... Time to put my Tinfoil hat on!

Speaking of ignoring things, my brother broke my driver window today. So I'm going to ignore it and just not have a window.

Taking care of it tomorrow or the weekend at the latest. Somehow he made the window drop into the door, luckily the glass is ok and have it blocked for now. Just have to fix whatever broke...

I was using the good 'ol 'merican way...

Then today, I drove to tafe with my fuel light on... And my needle looming over the "e", and the light was on.
Got out of Tafe 2 hours later, and to my surprise, the fuel light went out... So my reaction went something like this:
"What the f**k, so my fuel light now tells me when I have fuel and not when I need it..."
On the way home it went on and off as usual as I rose and descended, so now I am not sure if the fuel light has reversed its function or not >.<

Did you not do the LED kit? Hmm... Odd that all of a sudden would be having such a problem.
