Well today I finished my drum to disk conversion on my AT200............ and all is good.

how did it go ?

I just got back from a little test run, and they work great. I can tell the difference between the disks and the drums for sure. The car feels much more sure footed under hard braking. I just put the stock stuff on for now just to get it setup and make sure everything is working properly. The next step will be Hawk AutoX pads and slotted and drilled rotors. thumbsup.gif

I also got those skirts on John. I just rattle caned them for now. But they looks good. I can't wait to get everything finished so I can get this ride of mine one color or red!!! That damn Renaissance Red is a bear to match with rattle cans. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

good to hear about both skirts and brakes !

Now working on other ones (I have like 600pics from the trip) and it seems there are even better pieces smile.gif

I think that picture will be hard to top! How did the videos turn out? Mine are crappy, the mic is apparently entirely broken, so there's no sound at all. kindasad.gif We also forgot to take a pic of all of us.

so how was the ride swiss?

Well, I got in and it was all normal, right? So we start driving and I'm like hey, this isn't surprising at all. Then we took a turn and BAM! I had to change my undies.

But seriously...it was fukcing insane. I never got enough of hearing the BOV and exhaust, it made me want to go through every tunnel on the planet. The '4 just seems to grip massively (I found that out in the first curve! laugh.gif), and the rear definitely feels more planted compared to an ST. All in all, it felt incredibly surreal to be driving through the Alps and Italy in a GT-4, and even more incredible considering it was THE SS-4...the whole thing was like a dream. The drive up to Stelvio was amazing, some of the most beautiful roads I've ever seen. Stelvio itself was, without a doubt, absolutely mindblowing. There were a lot of tourists there sadly, but that wasn't surprising considering the perfect weather. Because of the crowd, we were forced to drive slowly down the pass, BUT...we got lucky on the way back up though, basically had no traffic. Martin did his driving thing and well...it was indescribable. Hopefully the video won't sound too annoying because I'm pretty sure I was giggling like an 8 year old idiot the whole time.

On top of that, Martin and Pavel were really cool people, and it was awesome to hang out with them in Italy. We had great pizza and beer (cheap too wink.gif) and a lot of laughs, mainly just bullsh!tting about Celicas. I can't say I can imagine a better time. biggrin.gif

I am so jealous Ferdi.

It's good to know that we have such great members who would allow another member to drive their vehicles knowing how much money, sweat, and time went into them. It's this community spirit that makes 6gc so amazing and refreshing. Hats off to Martin and Pavel for being so kind and generous - very few can say they've been so welcoming.

I'm not too familiar with old Chevys other than Corvettes, Novas, and Camaros, but I dunno what model this is? I thought it was a Nova at first but I don't think so anymore.

Jhot, they dont have much for the Celica anymore (not like they used to), but these things were sitting forever, and the price just got stupidly low.

Today I de-ghettorigged my RH turn signal socket thanks to SoDo (I had it held on to the housing with duct tape because in the wreck, all for of the tabs broke off)
