Alright so today I watched the greatest episode of Phineas and Ferb with my daughter, http://www.usatoday.com/videos/life/tv/2014/02/28/5872883/. Check it out and guess who else is there announcing the indy race. Also finally got some time to install my LED kit from SPREE. Love the kit and everything just kinda unhappy because 2-3 of the bulbs for the gauges and climate control are purple instead of blue..
The climate control was a pain in the arse. Also installed the license plate lights, map light, and the ignition ring and ash tray ring. Couldn't get the clock filter replaced though, can't get the old "brown" one off.. -------------------- "As a professor of science, I assure you we did, in fact, evolve from filthy monkey-men." -Prof. Farnsworth

It's easy to remove the brown filter, I don't recall having any problems. My clock has been sitting on my desk for months, waiting to get a new filter...
btw, you got e-mail -------------------- |

I unscrewed the three screws on the back and the whole thing opened up. I think I broke one of the feet on mine tho, since it was I think glued (the brown filter).

No I have no problem getting the clock actually out, it's the filter itself, do i have to cut up the filter to get it out or what?

The filter on my clock isn't attached to the clock itself, it's attached to the bezel where it sits....

The filter is glued on, just force it, it may brake some of it's feet, but you will just reglue it later on.

Okay that's what I was wondering if I just had to make it come off or if there was a trick to it. -------------------- "As a professor of science, I assure you we did, in fact, evolve from filthy monkey-men." -Prof. Farnsworth

Thank you I went to the last one in Marina too the week I got the car, but I was all over the place then (mashing the loud pedal all of the time for lols ). Getting the hang of it, but there is definitely a lot of room for improvement (read: excuses to go again ). It is strange not being able to just full throttle everywhere, and the added weight and RWD'ness make for a very new driving experience. Looks good And like everybody else said... just force it off. I suggest a super fine tip flat head screwdriver to pry the edges up. -------------------- SOLD :( 1997 ST204 Celica ZR -----> See it here on 6GC! 2013 October Celica of the Month XD Now: '00 NB8B Mazda MX5 -----> See it here in off topic! |

Today I....
Discovered car/truck shopping sucks....most enjoy the new toy concept, but I personally haven't had a car payment in over 8 years, so I'm slightly spoiled. Not to mention the banks, but we won't get into that... This is related to Celica's, because the sooner I get this second vehicle situation dealt with, the Celica is getting done on the fast track. I'm quite tired of my room full of parts, and would love to use it for its original purpose, being audio editing. I've only been saying similar things for well over 4 years =P Looking for a 4runner, Tundra, or Tacoma. Trying to say Toyota, but the pickings are low here. Need 4x4, or raised vehicle with a limited slip so I can traverse safely to transmitter sites. May have to settle on something domestic =/ |

Today I checked the UPS tracking app for the delivery of my CAI from California to Yorkshire, England.
It arrives today! And also, by coincidence, one place it stopped off was Louisville, KY, i.e the place I used to live and where they issued my Green Card! Go Cards! Put em in your brackets, lads, they're playing better than anybody recently. |
