One with a manual isn't any more expensive though. In fact for what it'd cost to convert you might as well save the headache and get a factory manual car to begin with. Car buying would be easier if I just didn't care. redface.gif

Hmm out of 26,608 SC300's from 1992-1997 there were 3,883 with the manual transmission. Roughly 14.6% then, more than I initially thought but still... Surely between the three I found something will work out. Though one is in Lincoln, Nebraska and the other is in Chicago, Illinois. One is actually in Alabama, it's a black on black '97.

I hate you now. I hope it jumped onto you while you were taking the picture.

Well, I found a '94 Mustang and a '94 Miata nearby. I feel compelled to give up, two weeks without a car and I'm tired of it already. I should be out for a drive now, but I'm not. The Miata is in really good shape for a good price, tempting... Ahgg... Life would be easier if I was a fan-boy of one type of car or even one brand, but nooooooooo. I have to appreciate all the different enthusiast cars out there, damn it all. Honduh kids have it so easy.

I came to the forum for this post and now I'm satisfied. smile.gif

Seriously though, being open to all types of cars makes it pretty difficult to make a singular choice - maybe you should buy a Kia.

Kia=Killed in action

I don't drive cars for the masses, they have to be inspiring in one way or another. See if I never stop driving sports and muscle cars, twenty years from now no one can call midlife crisis on whatever car I choose at that moment. I'm going to call about the Miata here soon, it's a C package car that's black with tan leather and tan top. Interior is great and the paint looks good except for that the front bumper looks dull. If I had to guess years of wearing a car bra that was never removed to wash and wax the paint, no big deal as I can fix it during a weekend for next to nothing. Provided everything is as it seems the price is right..

I saw a video of a New Edge Mustang GT and a '95 Miata on some track in Arizona? and it really showed how horrendous the Mustang is even through mild corners. Power-train wise both were stock, both had some suspension work done. The Miata was on the Mustang's rear the entire time except for on the straights where it'd pull away some, but then the Miata would catch up and actually have to slow down in the corners to keep from hitting the Mustang. If the Miata had been more aggressive, and sans passenger, it could've gotten ahead and stayed there I bet. Though it'd seem the Mustang could've been driven a little better, but still...

I thought about the old Z's at one point or another. Look cool and all, just not sure as to how feasible a car that's more or less forty years would be as a daily driver.

What ruled out the 240sx? A s14 with a sr20 is a very fun dailyable car.

The fact you can't find one that isn't riced and or ragged out, I like the updated S13 liftback though.

Apparently the listing for the Miata is fake? Called the number and the voice mail sounded like one of those automated spam numbers. Searched the number and it's from Missouri... What's weird is the plate matches the county it's listed in, so I have no idea.
