That sucks tremendously. This is exactly why I can't stand cars without real oil pressure and temperature gauges. You should only need a short-block, but the problem there is finding someone that'll just sell that. Is the cylinder being seized the only issue? If the block is intact with no other damage I'd say bore it over and rebuild it.

Had an idea, you might consider finding a 5S short-block and making a 5S-GTE. I think you'll need the '98+ 5S though to work with the third gen 3S. Anyhow, I'm sure something can be done short of replacing the entire engine.

That's a shame.
If I can figure out how to get it to the US I'd give you $3000 for it right now.

They're plug and play if you get them out of a LHD European car. tongue.gif I think there's a thread in the exterior FAQ section about doing the cutoff modification.

'96 was the first year for projectors and the last year for the LHD GT-Four. Someone on here is in a LHD European country and has a GT-Four and I remember asking about them. In any instance I suppose they'd be incredibly hard to come across.

Modding projectors to LHD takes like 2 hours with the boiling method, just did mine today. Don't leave them in the pot of water to long or you might cause the chrome plating on the shroud to come off. Pull them out every minute and put guitar picks in between the glass and the housing until you're all the way around. No chance of breaking the glass like that smile.gif

I could never convince myself to open them up and mess with them, especially for what they cost. The stock optics are actually pretty good, so I never felt the need to spend that kind of money anyhow. You only see them when you're outside of the car anyway. tongue.gif

But knowing that you've got JDM projectors, priceless wink.gif

On another note, I bought that genesis coupe duckbill spoiler and modded it to fit my hatch. It was relatively easy haha

Just take a picture far enough away you don't notice. tongue.gif

The best part of the 3000GT was the paint and the headlights, that's all the nice things I have to say.

Great idea! biggrin.gif turned my projectors black because I didn't like the chrome. It's only matte black Plastidip though, so it'll peel right off hopefully not with the chrome though lol I tested a small patch and it was fine. I also put some halos in them as well here's a pic of the projectors with matte black shrouds and 7500-8000k Halos :
