So I am in an area where a lot of the water from the sprinklers on the curbside utilize hard water. After a while, it leaves tough deposits on the windshield. Anyone have any luck with some kind of solvent that removes the faint outlines of these mineral deposits?

car wax does a good job actually, and it leaves a protection on the windshield like rainx does
