Alright so before we go to my de-modified Celica pictures, I'm going to tell you what's going on.

For those of you in the chat with me the other day, you know that I found the list of "mods" that I wanted to do to my car right when I got to this site. Basically when I just got here, I went to the "post a pic of your celi" thread and was like "I wanna do THAT, and THAT, and THAT!" Then, I crossed out all of it and at the bottom wrote "Black, stock looking GT4 lowered enough to look good, high enough to get over bumps." I found this and thought it was kinda funny, and I went out and looked at my car. I wondered how it would look if I just made it a stock looking GT4. So I tore off the front and rear splitters, jdm tails, all that, and made it look as "stock" as possible. And I have to say, I like it. I really do. I mean don't get me wrong, splitters look great on cars, but not for the look I'm trying to achieve. I don't want people to know I bought aftermarket parts for mine. I want a stock, factory looking car that turns heads.

And that's what I tried.

Here's my result;

For some odd reason, the USDM tails just looks very clean to me on the car the way it is right now. The car (in my opinion) looks very sporty, has an aggressive stance, and it's not too overdone. It's modified enough to turn heads and stock enough to keep them turned.

I don't know, those are just my opinions. I posted the pics here to get yours, so let's hear them! And I want constructive criticism!

Great photoshoot! You know my opinion on the car. Hands down, one of the cleanest new Celicas on 6gc. You're making great progress. Keep it up. I can't wait to see the day when you finally consider this car done.

It's the wheels...they really set the thing off. I want to find something I don't like about it (needs moar lower), but I just can't really find anything. It's pretty much the way a Celi should be.

So, glad that you're happy, now sell me your JDM tails and rear TRD splitters.

what about filling in the riser blocks so you have gt-four block style without it saying gt-four (since it isn't) /badge.

It still looks like a gt-four even if it doesnt have the badge-from the front end and stance etc.

OR make a badge/blocks that say GT-TWO. I think that would be cool...

I completely understand wanting the look of a gt-four and you have done that very tastefully...It's just still not one...as much as we would like them here in the us to be.

can still be a cool car w/out being one(gt4)

looks good.

looks a lot better without the splitters because "TRD" splitters do not flow at all with oem sides.

need to either get fog lights or the grill without the fog light holes.

too much wheel gap in the rear due to the tein springs. you would not regret buying coilovers (tein or tanabe if you want jdm and don't want to make a custom brake line bracket).

wheels are rotas (meh) and too sunk in (i know stock wheels are too). If you could find $1500 - $2000 for some clean jdm wheels it would look amazing.

Seriously some nice photos. Definitely liking the look you are currently holding. That first photo just makes me fall in love with your car and every other 6gc all over again... man I really can't get enough of our cars.
