Hello!

I am going to buy some complete JDM doors(from a st202 SS-II) to my AT200. Because I am really tired of manual windows, and I got some rust on the bottom of the doors. These doors are complete with inner covers and switches and harness.

Will this be a completely bolt on swap? Or do I need to extend the harness (since its JDM) or something? Or is the doors in JDM different from mine?

I will appreciate any help here! smile.gif

I did that on mine (swap doors from Euro model to JDM model because those European were in better condition). What is needed to swap is complete harness inside doors. It's pretty easy to do. There are just plastic clips you need to loose and click back to those other doors.

So there is just plug and play, even when the doors is JDM, and my car is European?

If so, IT WOULD BE AWESOME! biggrin.gif

So there is just plug and play...

metal "shell" = yes
electrical harness = no (must be swapped from your model because harness is bit different)

So if you want to have some benefits from JDM model harness on your Euro car you need to tweak wiring a bit. There is mirrored polarity of wires for example... you will find out your self. Just write down where is current and where is not. What wire is doing what and re-wire JDM harness. It¨s hard to explain but when you see it you got it smile.gif

When you get the controls and whatnot for the power windows and locks, it'll plug right into your harness - however, JDM doors would be RHD, meaning your master control would be on the passenger side.

Griffgirl has a thread somewhere about a manual to power windows conversion. I think she's almost done/done with it?

When I was preparing my car for conversion I made some pics. One of them is showing a lot smile.gif

Everything blue - from ST European model
Everything white - from GT-Four JDM model

mirrors (see number of wires):

That's why when I have changed doors swapping mirrors (complete wiring harness inside doors included) car looked like this:

However it doesn't mean there is not possible to make folding mirrors on Euro wiring harness. I have read many articles here where people did that during years smile.gif.

Got my hands on some JDM doors now, with everything: power folding mirrors, electric windows and so on. It is from a part car that I will visit next week, but I need to know what harness parts to remember to include!

Do you have any suggestions?

The power windows and locks will not swap over, because you don't have the connectors for them in your stock dash harness. You might consider getting a dash harness from an ST with power windows, and swapping that over, too. Then it will be plug and play.

I can sort of guide you on how to connect your door harnesses so that your power windows work, but since you've got JDM door harnesses, the color of the wiring is probably different so I won't entirely be able to help you I don't think.

Oh and yeah, I did finish the power window conversion, and it works great! I haven't finished the locks though; the actuators are installed and plugged in, but currently I don't have power going to them. (I just haven't sat down to do it is all)

I also haven't swapped the power over to the power mirror controls from the stock center console location to the driver's side master switch location. Just another thing I haven't sat down to do, although I don't anticipate it being difficult at all.

Okay, so there is not a free place behind the dash to plug in the harness from the doors? Its a lot of free places to plug in some harnesses there, but it may be not the power windows.

A friend of mine, did the RHD door -> LHD car conversion at a specialist. Also, the exact same conversion as I am planning to do. He said it would be perfectly possible, with some modification to the harnesses. This friend though, live far away from me, so its kinda hard to meet him and watch the harness work.

I would request some pictures from him, and maybe I'll sort out what do to.

Its fantastic that you made the power windows work! Great job! smile.gif The actuators would be no problem, especially if you get an aftermarket remote kit to plug the cables into, and voila! Rclick.co.uk got some really great kits, if you are interested.

Is there a relay to the power mirrors that I need to have? I think I have seen some pictures that it is mounted behind the dash a place with a special bracket.

Okay, the JDM doors are now at my hand, and I will now try to figure out what to do with the harness. My plan is this simple:

- Just give the JDM harness current, and rewire it without plugging into the box beneath the dash.

Do someone got a wiring scheme of these doors? It will be alot easier to work when I know what each of the cable are to.
