well the red top and yellow top are the two big choices... i guess you knew that though. look at the reserve capacity and obviously the cca. optima batteries are really expensive. i'm not convinced that they are really worth it. i guess if you are going for top notch and lighting than they are.

The Optima battery is definitely worth it! I ran stock for awhile until my battery could not take it anymore. When I bought a new one I got a Yellow Top and I have loved what it has done for me! These batteries have a huge advantage over stock because stock batteries are meant to discharge quickly and do not have very good power reserves. The deep cycle Optima is meant to discharge slower over a longer period of time. These will last so much longer in a car audio application.
There is another thing you have to think about, alternator upgrade. Check out these vids!

I absolutely recommend the Odessey batteries. They are a hell of some batteries, and the PC1700 I'll got, provide 1700ampere in 5 secs. That should be enough for your power needs!

Capicator, (if that is a condensator), its a waste to have with a good battery though. smile.gif

just my $.02

I have had optima yellow tops in alot of my cars and as far as current they are so so, BUT, i had one go out every single time in less than a year....

So i always got them warrantied, but was a PITA whenever they went bad on me.

I say go Odyssey, Stinger(red ones), or BATCAP

my celica has Stinger SP1000, My Z28 has Odyssey PCT1700, My YUKON has 2 BATCAP 4000's and have never had a single problem out of them in ~5-6 YEARS thumbsup.gif

although the yellow top is made for audio and video, reviews always mention them going out just like said above5. I recommend the red top over the yellow top for longer life.
