how do the adjustable cam gears work? was that a serious question? they make advancing or retarding your timing much easier, insted of buying or reshaping cam teeth to the degree you want your adjusting the cam as a hole, advancing the timing to improve performance on an N/A engine, or exhaust retard to increase turbo spool on a boosted build (if im not mistaken) This post has been edited by Mstoochn: Oct 13, 2009 - 2:22 PM |

what exactly is need to for a 3sge head on a 5sfe block, just the head, cam sprockets, and new timing belt? alternator? complete head/wiring harness/sensors. some sort of intake manifold (5s bolts up different) im using a 3s mani. alt was my choice because my old one couldn't product 11.5volt (should be above 14volt at 3,000 rpm) low output would only further piss me off when it comes to starting the damn thing. Tranny has been swapped for E153. not worth my time/money to deal with s54 clutch to get the 5s running This post has been edited by Mstoochn: Oct 31, 2009 - 1:47 AM |

QUOTE Huge Power, its idling great, unfortunately Im not taking it over 3,500rpm yet. Modified 3s-ge OEM ecu programming seems to be working just fine wow taking it up to 3,500 rpm? my friends wouldn't take theirs above 3,000rpm after a recent rebuild. pics of engine installed -------------------- |
