My cousin came by to show me his new car. He's been through tons of "me not care" types of cars lately. All of a sudden, it's a 6th gen celica (joy!).
He's not online yet, but I just got through checking out the car. It's a white 95 GT Auto, if I remember correctly. 5SFE, all stock. I was excited to finally get a chance to modify a 6th gen. I was eager to jump on the exhaust first. However, after looking over the car, I want to change the header first. That huge cat in the header thing has to go immediately. Hopefully, next weekend, we will be able to install a header and midpipe to replace the stock set up and make it 100% bolt on. He just passed smog, so we can get to work. For me, the most important thing is to have it bolt on so he can smog later AND not throw any engine codes. I'm just telling you what we plan to do, I'm not selling anything. Unfortunately, I did not get pics, my camera was a fail today. I just took pictures of the stock exhaust system for reference. Next time I will get pictures of the car. Hopefully next time I can give it a good test drive, I've never driven a 6th gen. We did synthetic oil change with K&N filter and a good tune up is planned. Iridium plugs, cap and rotor have been ordered. I found that he's got a decent oil leak somewhere at the top of the engine. I suspect distributor o-ring to start, and will investigate from there. Let's see if we can wake up this 5SFE! I'm trying to talk him into a 5 speed conversion right now. This post has been edited by 935motorsports: May 9, 2010 - 2:49 AM -------------------- ----
