3SGTE and GT Axels Strength, Weakness of GT tranny and/or Axels Options

Ok, I read suggestions that with the 3SGTE swap the GT axels may not be able to handle more than 250 hp. What part of the axel can not handle the power, is it the shaft(rod?) or the teeth?

Also, does the GT transmission have a problem with handling 250+ hp or is just the axels? I probably will get a LSD if I go 250+ hp.

Thinking of custom axels, but if tranny sucks with the HP then probably got to think of the E-153....
