Hey guys,

There was a local Walmart that USED to carry 5 qt. jugs of the Pennzoil Ultra, but they stopped for some reason. I ordered it a couple times from their website (free shipping to store), but they've been "out of stock" for MONTHS now. I emailed Walmart and they just said that they'll get it back on when the supplier(s) get them more in stock.

Does anyone know where to get this unicorn blood?

For now I'm using the Pennzoil Platinum from Wally World. It seems to do a VERY good job and cleaning, although I've never done an analysis.

Have you tried their locator?

I use Liqui Moly's synthetic.

Are you putting this oil into a new rebuild? Or putting into an otherwise unopened motor?

Yeah, but all the local places are Firestone shops that fill with it, but don't sell 5 qt. jugs. I refuse to spend $46 on a six pack of quart jugs on Amazon too...

This is for regular oil changes in my Vibe and ES330 (both above 150,000 miles).

And those are both engines that benefit from better oil. I know some of the MZ V6's have a better valve cover baffle design that really radically reduces regular regurgitation of refined petroleum products. Now say that 10 times fast. I can't recall if it was the 1MZ or 3MZ or both that benefited, but you could swap the later design cover to the engine and it would turn an oil burning sludge maker into a fine civil member of the motoring public.

I just recently replaced both valve cover gaskets on the 3MZ and it was SUPER clean. (also had to extract a broken valve cover bolt in the head -- in the back against the firewall)
