Little update. I sprayed my dash bezel piece and it bubbled up in 2 places. So I'm going to buy another dash bezel piece and try it again I guess.

Mine did that the first time I did it too! I sanded it down and started again. You have! to clean it really good. Make sure no oils or dirt or anything is on there.
Try it again, Before buying new pieces.
Oh and make sure you follow the cans instructions exactly. I know it sounds stupid, but do extremely light coats and wait 10-15 mins betweeen.
if you have any questions or are unsure about anything. just ask, I made all the mistakes anyone could ever make lol

a couple of parts i over sprayed in like one area and it bubbled up so i scrubbed it off and went again. But after i started going with the flow i sprayed lightly about 8 or 9 coats and it looks pretty good so far im stoked. Im wondering why i didnt do this sooner to be honest its simple and looks so much better.

Ok so how did you get the plastic peice off that is around the stereo and AC Unit. My AC control unit is like blocking me from taking off the plastic so i can finish. I've taken EVERYHThing else off just cant those 2 off.

Easy. Take off the shifter trim and then I believe there are two screws near the base. The rest is held in by clips. I'm not entirely sure if that's all correct, but just take your time and use logic and it'll come off easily.

oh do you mean the big piece? to the very right of this first pic?
▼▼▼

Yeah that piece was the biggest Bi***!
Working from memory, everything around it has to be off like the piece under the steering wheel, and possibly the glovebox.

I do know EXACTLY what your talking about though lol, I went through the same problem, found this thread Coomer made after I dismantled the AC unit lol couldnt tell you how the hell I got it all back in without disconnecting the 2 wires.
The how to-follow just the how to remove

And after that you should be good, I have removed the climate control since then (using the correct way) and its pretty simple

anyhow I took some pics, if you want any more or wanna know how something comes off, just ask (rear panel is a bi*** too btw)

BTW, how are you door panels so clean with no sun damage i wanna get rid of the sun damage on mine.

There was a little sun damage on mine, I cant remember exactly what I used, it was like 2 years ago. I used some sort of tire clean, and it blackened it up (its slippery weird feeling for a while) but it stays black, and nothing can get on it. Im sure there is a better way, but thats what I did.

And that piece you have to take out the climate control, I'm going to look at it right now so I can remember exactly what else has to come off

yeah I believe its just the panel under the steering wheel, the glove box, and the climate control. all relatively easy to remove to remove just look for points of stress where there may be a bolt, and go slow taking it off.
take some pics of your progress, I wish I took pics as I went along. but didnt have a cam at the time

yeah that piece makes a HUGE difference when you get it back into the car, because, well you look at it constantly lol.

If you get in the gauges or change the bulb to a diff color (like red) it will give it an even better effect. (you can buy them at any auto store)

Look forward to see more progress as you complete it all, its not everyones "taste" but I love it because you and everyone knows you did something, ppl always ask me how much my interior cost smile.gif... I always lie tongue.gif.. but truth be told a couple cans and a few hours of work smile.gif

Just got done today. i put almost everything back on except the pieces underneath the steering wheel. Just incase i need to do something with those wires when i install my replacement engine.

I didnt paint everything like you did you. I kept alot of it black imma take some pics tmo and post them i like the results. I didnt think it would turn out as good as it did.

OH and i broke the passenger side air vent next to the door trying to take it out and put it back in, so im going to the jankyard tmo to get another one to paint.lol

Oh and i tried to paint the handle on the door panels and it didnt work out too well it wouldnt dry.... it just stayed sticky so i threw it away and went got another one out the JY.

Yeah for whatever reason the passengers side was ****ing stupid! to get off! I didnt paint mine till this month when i did the white and the lights. I broke all but one of the clips on it trying to get it out, still dont know, even with looking at it out of the car how the hell you are supposed to get it out haha.
Im going to paint the passengers side airbag thing. above the glove box, because its plastic. ill post up pics-
