so i have ordered and all ready received the HP engine kit from importperformanceparts.net with forged pistons and the whole nine yards with stock compression ratio , my question to you is i am building the engine for boost and using the copper head gasket will that lower my compression ratio ?? its for a 95 st (7afe) . . . . .. when i am ready to build i will start a new topic and post how it turns out as i dont know anyone on here using this kit for the 7afe..... i built my 7a when my celica was a st, and it was nasty:) but it over heated and made the alum. rings blow out/melt:( and ur comp. ratio should not change.

i see well something ill have to keep an eye on but i plan on running the fans 24/7 plus i took out the high beams to make ram air plus lower engine bay temps ... how nasty was it like first im running low boost till i get it tuned with AEM F/IG* controler then im going to run around 12-14psi tops ??? what parts did you use to build ??

the bearings that come with the HP kit comes with TOGA racing bearings better than stock toyota bearings... i dont know to many people who have the same kit as i, The piston rings that come with this kit are wiseco forged pistions and rings so they should be safe .. ..... wish more people people knew how realiable this HP kit is and how much power it can handle , cant be the only one out there with this kit lol

i dont know enough about the kit, but i have wiseco pistons in my 7th gen making 545HP so they are good pistons. if you are going to do it right, i highly suggest getting .020 oer pistons and having the block machined to match then. that way you know the cylinder matches the pistons.

I do NOT recommend a copper head gasket unless you get the deck and head ringed. it WILL leak! the OEM headgasket is a metal multi layed gasket. it will work just fine.

okay ill have to check into that ... so i just need to ask machine shop about doing a ring job so i can use my copper head gasket .... you ever us one ?
