ok i have been tolf that if i am going to turbo to not get a 10lbs flywheel along witha stage 2 clutch , i am for sure getting the clutch and flywheels if i got with it , but turbo might be a while , they said that it would idle like crap with the turbo and there would be other problem whats the best paln for flywheels cause i want faster reving better exceleration, my thought is thats if it revs faster ,in return means faster spool up , which mean more power faster

I love my lightened flywheel. The car revs so quickly now. smile.gif

The downsides to getting one are that they require that you rev the car higher to start from a stop. It takes some getting used to. Also, you have to shift more quickly because the engine revolutions drop much faster with a lightened flywheel.

Taking off is going to be a bitch with that setup (I know, I run that setup). There's not a lot of margin for error without wheel hop or spin or a lot of clutch slip.

My car idles a little rough too but don't think it's related to that. It might idle a little higher is all.

10-15 companies wouldnt make lightened flywheels for turbo engines if they didnt do any good! Although 10 pounds is getting to the point of really light. And a lightened flywheel does reduce turbo lag, and can make your engine last longer due to less stress.

I was at my shop yesterday and I lifted the old flywheel out of the 3S-GTE and that sucker was HEAVY! prolly like 25-30 or more pounds.
