Most of you read my post about looking for a 3sgte or beams. Well I've decided based on my budget I'm just going to get another 5s and turbo it later down the road. I called all junkyards and such and none of them have one from a 98+. I've looked online and cheapest I found was 1200 and yea that's crazy.. I plan on ordering a rebuild kit anyways if I find one just to be safe.

If you plan on rebuilding it anyways....why not save your money on the 98+block and just rebuild the one in your car. Just use a 98+ 5sfe metal headgasket and call it a day.

Opening this back up. Looking for a 5S went today and cheapest I found ( just engine ) was 1500. Which is ridiculous in my opinion. I would prefer a newer one from say a 98 but it doesn't rele matter.
The Beams guy just quit talking to me so it fell through. This post has been edited by JuMPiiN: May 18, 2010 - 12:44 PM |
