well biggrin.gif Read this page, it helps u with needles and everything else! http://www.diskusjon.no/index.php?showtopi...2343&st=240

To translate this page isn't easy but what can i say is that just use 2 spoons and paper under it and pop off those needles. After installing needles and gauges back into car, u might think why your gauges shows totally mess, no correct numbers at all. So I had to drive with GPS navigator to calibrate km/h and after it rpm gauges. Easy as it is. Just drive without needles and check your correct speed.. for example 80km/h and then just push the needle in correct speed. Maybe u should use friends help also to check correct speed all the time, so no need to crash or anything else. Rpm gauges are very easy to calibrate also, just turn motor on and off, then put the needle in 0rpm. Calibrating heat and fuel is not very hard either.. ;)

reviving this thread, have you personally done the on-off method for calibrating the tachometer?

edit: i asked because at idle (operating temp) my tach reads around 1200 and when i shut off my car it goes back to zero.
