i am installing an old amp to the stock system.
i have a built in amp and not the separate one.
i am tying into my rear speakers with a line converter to run to my amp and i am not sure if i have a remote power lead on the stock deck or not. what to connect it to??? i know that on another post in hear...they said the power lead which is usually red...but my rear speaker uses the red. any info on what color wires mean what...would help tremendously. i have a 96 st if that helps anyone.

thx again

so your connecting an amp to a stock system...and ONLY the back speakers...?

You can always connect it to you KEY_ON wire...which will turn it on when ur turn ur car on...dunno which wire it is tho.

You can also run your own switch...where u run a wire from the BATT to the switch, and then from the switch to the amp. That way you can switch ur amp on and off whenever u'd feel like.
