M3 risers?
WRX spoiler risers? oh and apparently STI spoilers also have raising blocks now too. i've seen a pic once and it looks like Ass. I cant seem to find it anymore imho the only risers that i've seen that pulled it off with swagger is the GT-FOUR. NO im not being biased because i own a celica damn it. Anyone have pics of spoiler risers ? |

Personally I think it looks rice. Celica riser blocks look a lot better.

The thing is, riser blocks on the M3 and the WRX are more functional than they are on our FWD Celicas. The WRX wing doesn't exactly look like the greatest, but that's because the spoiler posts are not set out on the edges of the spoiler like the M3 or the GT4. We may think that the GT4 wing looks good, but to 4/5 people who see us driving around, they probably grumble and complain about another stupid kid driving around in a Cavalier. Yes, I think the GT4 wing looks better than those two in particular, but I'm not so sure that everyone outside of 6gc.net would agree.

you'd actually be surprised at how beneficial a rear spoiler can be on a FWD car, you don't need super high speeds and RWD/4WD, a rear spoiler helps with cornering and braking even on a FWD but only if its built for purpose and not just for show. A fine example of FWD cars with rear spoilers/wings are in the BTCC (British touring car championship) they use some FWD cars like Honda Civic's and Ford Focus' (amongst others), they have large rear spoilers and that is a professional racing championship so they can't exactly be wrong in using them.

That's why I said more functional not really more functional as even though spoilers/wings serve some of the same purposes on FWD, RWD, AWD and 4WD they also differ in some of their purposes, -------------------- |

I'd say rice, but that's just because I don't care for the looks of them. There's a white WRX in town with those carbon fiber risers, I think it just looks silly.
But then again, I'm not a HUGE fan of the risers on our cars unless they have the GT-4 front end to match. -------------------- 1999 Celica GT
