as soon as you plug in the battery, hold the unlock button... or the panic button. whatever usually stops the alarm.

I don't have batteries in the remote. I'm looking for a manual way to do it with the key.

Ok Ok, so after hours of tearing my dash apart, not knowing what the hell i was doing i learned alot,
Heres where im at currently Its aftermarket VIPER 500HF system I traced all the **** and found the valet switch. Worked my way through manual and got the vala switch set so I could start car, everythings fine now, but now Im intrested in why my two fobs arnt working. Anyone with experience programming these bad boys let me know, The stuff I was reading said something like I need to match the white sticker numbers on fob to the control unit. Makes total sense but i dont know how to program the main control unit. I saw two little dials on it with numbers and a little arrow, they were like turn dials. Anyways Im going to purchase some new batteries for the transmitters and see if that does anything, but i think they need to be reprogrammed. thanks for the help fellas, keep it coming, hopeing to have this **** working right by the 1st of july cuase im going on a trip. -------------------- Celica Enthusiast with no experience. I really hate aftermarket alarms systems once they get old and start malfunctioning, Used to have a car that would randomly roll up the windows and lock the doors(fortunately it had a manual sunroof). And one day a friend of mine was talking to me through the drivers window which was cracked about 2 inches... he put his hands on top of the window and leaned down to chat. The car picked that exact moment to pull its shenanigans, his reaction time was just a bit too slow and ended up with 8 fingertips jacked up in the window for about 2 mins till the alarm finally decided shut the window motors off.

Ok so ive done ton's of research and have tried everything ive found.
Tried to reprogram my remotes by holding valet switch on the 9th press then press the transmitter. Nothing, I think there might be a problem with the antenna for the system. The light in the module doesnt light up as if its not recieving any broadcast. Anyone with experience please get back to me on some more ideas. -------------------- Celica Enthusiast with no experience.
