Hi
Is anyone able to tell me whether my car has the original factory fitted kit or whether it is an after market thing? Having seen a few other cars like mine, and I thought just the side skirts had been added, but not sure at all. I need to know for insurance purposes.

Thanks!

I don't know body kits.
However, if you could post a few pics, those who do
know stock from aftermarket would be able to help.

thanks whatthe! I'm not sure what the oem means, is that factory fitted? Also, here are the options my insurance company gives me:

Which bit on the car is the euro splitter?

Kind of hard to say as modifications. Since yes its an optional sideskirt (oem) but then theres the option of bodykit (optional) yet its not a full bodykit.
What i say click around different options. And see the online quote. And select the options you can technically fit under with the lowest quote.

So even though the skirts and grill etc are factory fitted, they are not sold with the car but optional extras?
Also, what should I declare the splitters as? (still not sure exactly what they are, are the rubber/ plastic at the bottom of the front, if so doe sit count as an air dam?)

Thanks.

I would mark the whole thing as Bodykit Optional Extra.

Uh, what the heck is "Mini Chilli Pack", "Mini Pepper Pack" and "Mini Salt Pack"? Shouldn't there be a "Grey Poupon" option to go along with that? wink.gif

What you have is pretty stock after facelift celica with all possible additional parts on and also guess the highest trim you could have i Europe. That means side skirts, euro splitters, hatch spoiler, sun roof, headlight washers, A/C, leather interior and probably also 8 speaker audio. Am I right?

Second kit you should see on European Celicas is kit from Dealer's option parts set. See topic with details here: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=43286.

if your car is a UK car and not an import then everything there except the wheels and front grille is standard equipment, should only have to declare the wheels to insurance unless you have a fat exhaust and K&N or sumat

if your car is a UK car and not an import ...

According to hood latch should be UK model (standard part for all European models smile.gif). But it's just assumption someone did not drill it there lately smile.gif
