anyone here know of any good site for installing plexiglass on custom fiberglass enclosures? ive been looking around the web and cant find nothing. i need something that tells how to install plexiglass with no screws visible because i see some elclosures but you can see the screws holding down the plexiglass.
i hope the picture came out but i want something similar to that except ill probably be putting my amps under plexiglass too but see how you cant see the screws holding down the plexiglass? or maybe you cant pictures not that great. o yeah about installing fans i heard you have to install fans under your amp or something if they're gonna be in under plexiglass do i just put the fans under event hough there is no air from outside going in? hope you guys can help and hope the pics came out Anthony |

Attach the plexi from the inside. Just make sure the edge of the cutout is wide enough so you don't see the screws. Attach the plexi to the piece of the box before you build it. Just realize you need to use some pretty thick plexi for a sub box especially if the window is very large. If you use too thin it will flex and cause distortion.
Fans are very helpfull. I wouldn't recommend sealing the amps into the box. Try to work in some fresh air. An easy way is to cut a slot to allow air in at one end and mount the fan to exhaust the air at the other end. This way the airflow is going across the amps heatsinks. |

you can use 3m spray glue.. this is some really strong stuff.. and i mean really strong.. (this is the stuff they use on airplane wings and other parts were they can't use bolts or rivets.. it's about 6 bucks a can.... but i don't know how it will work on plexiglass.. i know it works great on glass and on metal ..

looks like most of them have like a piece of plastic or vinyl on the outside of the plexiglass...that is probably there just to cover up the screws in the glass. you could do that pretty easily and nobody would notice.
