it's pretty fast around the track. He or his truck i should say is somewhat banned from the S.C.C.A national autocross until they find out what category to put him in. last year he almost blew his competition away. he was competing in the lowest class of S.C.C.A goin against regular minicoopers and civic hatch backs and cars of the sort. lol

What means GT???
p.s. Nice ride!!! biggrin.gif

Usually 'Gran Turismo' In the states, it usually symbolizes the sport package. But we're not lucky like almost everyone else in the world who were lucky enough to get SSII, SSIII, and GT-Four without having to mod their Celica out like crazy. We got stuck with ST (base package) and GT (sportier package)

Actually it means Grand Touring but Gran Turismo is what is used in like Europe. But in the end, i believe Grand Touring derives from Gran Turismo so i guess we're both right.

so i had a choice to hit a dog or hit a curb. I chose to hit a curb.

on the lift at work

the wheel

the lower control arm & ball joint

i've managed to get replacement parts and got my car back on the road. everyone said i should've hit the dog but my instinctive reaction was to avoid it. i'm really glad that the wheels weren't the st205 wheels.

my co worker said that i'm lucky i'm not dead. if i hit a bump just right the whole thing would've came apart. the only thing holding it together was the control arm being wedged into the dust shield or backing plate if the brake disc.

What kinda struts? If you're going autocross, I'd recommend urethane swaybar bushings too. With mine, I can kick my rear out without using the handbrake now.

they're just stock replacements right now. i'm lookin into getting a set of ground control coil overs with a set of adjustable Koni shocks. once i have enough money i'll be able to take first place overall instead of third. lol but yeah the car handles pretty well for stock replacements and the alignment set up make the car tail happy. It's about 2.5 degrees of negative camber in front, close to negative 2.0 in back. as for tow settings i'll need to take a look at the alignment sheet.

just a small update. Ordered some wheel spacers for the rear to fit some new rims on the car. now just need tires for the wheels. pics of the "new" wheels will be up soon.
