Well i finally made some more progress today, i got the old oil pan housing off finally, had to file down the crank a tiny bit on the outside because it got a little chip and the new timing gear wouldn't slide on, but after 5 minutes with a file its as good as new and the gear slid right on. got the timing belt back on and now i'm just waiting for the new oil pan to get here! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!

Carbon fiber goodies... no sir. not yet at least..... i won't be getting carbon fiber anything until its time to paint the car, and i'm not repainting it until next spring! because there is no sense in it now, with me leaving for the army in may, because i won't get it back until around christmas so i figure why let the dust settle. . so i'm keeping it a mystery as to what i bought, i just can't wait until it gets here! i'll be one of the few members with a complete set though thats the only hint i'm giving! (:

As of last night, i got the oil pan back on, the smaller oil pan on, put on a new oil filter, and filled it up with oil.
got alot of the vaccume lines put on (hopefully in the right places, waiting to confirm that)
plugged in everything but 2 wires one is on the back side of the engine, and its not the one that goes into the block, i got that
one, but its near that one if anyone can give me an idea as to what it would be?
the other one, is kind of where the battery should be. it looks like the longest wire on the harness if that helps..

so other than that, i also put the alternater back on, and the a/c assembly.
all i have left to do other than what was mentioned above is put the timing tensioner back on,
then put on the timing cover, fill it up with antifreeze, and put the intake back on, throw the freshly
charged battery back in and start her up hopefully (:

VERY PRODUCTIVE DAY

good job man. I like this thread and I like your whole project in general. Nothing like resurrecting a celi... there are so few after all

hopefully someone with a more detailed knowledge of the wiring harness can help you out. I only know the general layout unfortunately

it is now cranking, but not starting up....

not getting any spark.... everything else is good.... hopefully i can figure this out tomorrow!

thanks guys...

and correct you are sir... the timing was majorly screwed up.
and they replaced the ignitor and there were two wires they tinkered with.

but all in all mainly the timing... cost me 210 dollars, and was worth every penny!

and i know joe.... can't wait to see yours once you get the engine back in.

but i know the feeling of not being able to drive it... it took since summer until now
to finally be able to get my baby running!

I'm thinking today is a good day to start putting on some of the interior items i got from vincent doggy.

i'm thinking i'll start off small with just the shift boot, center console cover, and carbon fiber mirror cover, which might i add is EXTREMELY SEXY.

i'll post pictures of the progress later tonite.

i haven't really looked into the how to on the seat covers yet but something like that ...

i know on the center console cover its best to stitch it tight before you put the screws back on so it has a tighter look to it
