I need information on the 7A-FE engine and etc. I know there are forums and posts on here I'm sure to help me out with but is there a site just for the 7A-FE with information on it? I could use some major help with this process because in the Fall, I 'm rebuilding and I need to know what I'm doing and what performance parts I'd like to get.

Nah there really isn't any, unless it's completely custom, I'm pretty sure the only way you can make power with the 7a is if you boost it.

Import Performance Parts

scroll down to #27 and take a look. He says any "any comp ratio" so what if we boost the little ole 7a to say 11.0-1 and bore it out a little too.

It's your money do what you want, but honestly even if you did bore it over and out forged pistons and rods and cams ext, you could have prob just bought a 4agze and swapped it in and had just as much power as a boosted 7a would have. ( with a small turbo of course ) 1000$ could do alot more, honestly in my opinion rebuild it OEM specs and just put coilovers on and sticky tires and enjoy the handling.

I'm in the same boat with you man. But next summer I believe I'm gonna try and go 4AGZE. My dad has an old 4AGE block/head laying around with about 300k miles. I figure if I rebuild it, bore/stroke it, port/polish it, slap on a Roots supercharger, I'll have myself a little monster >:D Only thing that kind of scares me is the wiring harness...

But I've done research too, and I haven't really seen much for the 7AFE except the Corolla headers and an intake

Yeah I've been doing allot of reading on swaps and the harnesses seems to be the pain of any swap. Thats why I was hoping there might be some stuff out there for the ole 7A, but the more I search the less i find. and it looks like a 3s-gte swap is in my future.............. I just dread the harness nightmare, I'm a machinist not an electrician!!!!!

Roger

i have that exact same kit cost me just over 1000.00 shipped and i got it set up for boost but never thought high compression in this motor would be worth it because of lack of ability to rev high plus head design is not the greatest but you can have import performance parts make you a custom stage 3 head and order custom cams depends what you want though..... just give them a call there really good...

Why would you have a custom head made for it when you can swap the head with a 4age head, build it, get the cams ground & accomplish the same thing for probably a fraction of what it would cost to have a custom head built?

Because he is a noob and tried to steal my screen name.

No seriously the 7afe is pointless to dump money into. Do a 7agte build for $16,000 (like nik did) and make 350whp, or swap in a 3s and get the same power at a fraction of the cost.
